A: Please read About Us for information on how we do it!

Do you discount your prices?
A: We always offer the best possible prices on our Chaise Living, to give you the best deal without needing to negotiate. Our prices already include the discount - saving you the trouble of haggling! Don't pay more than you need to - we pass on all the savings. Shop in the confidence knowing we won't be selling cheaper next week in an artificial sale!

Do you have a price match guarantee?
A: Yes, at Chaise Living our goal is to give you the best furniture buying experience possible. In the unlikely event that you happen to find the same item from the same manufacturer advertised at a lower price at another furniture store we will beat their price! Assembly:

Does the furniture require assembly?
A: To keep prices so low our sofas are delivered in cartons. This reduces transport and storage costs. Most of the items just need simple assembly such as attaching the arms and backs to the base, and screw on the feet.

How does the reversible chaise section work?
A: When you open the box you simply need to attach the backs, arms and feet. As you get to decide where you want the chaise, to the left or the right hand side, you attach the arms and backs to suit. Check out the assembly video to see how easy this is.

Are there assembly instructions?
A: You'll find assembly instructions inside the cartons. Assembly is pretty straightforward, but please read the instructions carefully before attempting to assemble your sofa. You can also download a PDF version of the instructions on our Assembly page.

Can you assemble my Chaise Sofa?
A: As a convenience to our customers in Perth we do offer a set-up and assembly service for an extra fee. Please read the Assembly page for more information.

Source and Materials:

Where are the sofas made?
A: We purchase from a supplier based in California, USA, who supplies South, Central and North America. To keep costs as low as possible the products are manufactured in a range of factories across Asia, including Malaysia, Vietnam and China. The actual supply factory depends on a range of criteria, including quality, fabric and material availability and production schedules.

What leather is used on your sofas?
A: We supply genuine and bonded leather sofas. There are many different types and grades of leather. Each type and grade of leather has its own qualities and characteristics with various features and benefits.

Our genuine leather range is made from pigmented corrected grain leather. Corrected leather has been sanded to remove imperfections in the natural leather. Genuine leather upholstery creates an affordable leather sofa. You can read more about leather grades here.

Our bonded leather sofas are made with genuine leather fibres "bonded" with polymers to create a fabric with a leather feel. Bonded leather provides the look and feel of real leather at an economic cost. Follow the link to find more information about bonded leather .

Can my new leather sofa crease in transit?
A: To ensure your new lounge arrives with you in the best possible condition it is carefully packaged. This helps avoid any scuffs and unnecessary damage in its journey to you. As a result you may notice a few crease marks in the cushions and arms. Thankfully these are not permanent and in a warm environment, with use, will naturally work their way out over the next few weeks.

If creases remain after a few weeks you can help flatten them by warming the leather, but you need to be careful as you can damage the material further. It may not be possible to remove the creases entirely, but with care you should be able to reduce their visibility.

Cover the crease with brown paper or a clean, lint-free cloth. Using an iron on it's lowest heat setting gently press the crease with the iron. Don't overheat the leather, regularly moving the iron and paper or cloth to another position. Touch the leather to check the temperature and allow the leather to cool once the leather has warmed to more than comfortable. Check if the crease has improved satisfactorily. If the crease is still there repeat the process, but stop once the crease has ceased responding to the warm iron.

Tip: Don't use the steam setting, and empty the water from your iron to be sure no steam can escape.

Some creases in leather are easier to remove than others, and some creases actually belong there. As a natural product leather will often have creases and colour variations that represent leather’s unique character and appeal. Plus leather furniture naturally develops creases with use, and sometimes they are set into the material during the curing process.

How do I care for a leather sofa?
A: To extend the life of your sofa, regular cleaning and conditioning with leather care products is highly recommended.
I addition:
* do not use bleach, oily substances or strong detergents
* keep ink, fluids, lotions and oils, chemicals and sharp objects away from upholstery
* exposure of leather to sunlight or extreme light sources may cause fading and damage
* do not use any heat lamps or hair dryers on the leather to dry any spills or liquids
* dyes from clothing can easily transfer on to leather. Particular care is required with light coloured leathers as permanent staining can occur.

What type of wood is the furniture made out of?
A: Our products are made from solid wood (oak, birch, pine, and rubberwood). Some items also contain a mixture of processed and pressed woods. To enquire about a specific item contact us using our enquiry form.

Some of your furniture contains rubberwood. What is that?
A: Rubberwood is an eco-friendly plantation hardwood harvested from a renewable source. It has a dense grain with little natural shrinkage making it one of the more stable construction materials available for furniture. You can read more information on rubberwood  if you're interested to know more.

  • Pull the base from the box and keep up on the side

  • Inside with the arms and backs you'll find the instructions, fixings, tool and feet
  • Screw the short end of the threaded bar into the holes.
  • Insert the backs and arms into the base whilst still on the side
  • From the other side of the base place the flat washer against the wood over the bar, then the spring washer and tighten the nut with the tool
  • Replace the base fabric on the Velcro and screw on the feet
